Audition dates and Times:
Saturday, January 28 at 10:30 am
Sunday, January 30 at 3:30 pm
Callbacks on Wednesday, February1 at 7:30pm
Place: Auditions will take place at R25 California Stage Complex (look for signs).
Bring: If available, please bring a headshot and a resume.
Actors will be asked to read from the script. Actors may pick up scenes before the audition at The Alliance Française Office in the R25 Complex between 10 am and noon and 2 to 4 pm during the weekdays at 1725 25th street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Production dates: The Meaning of It All will run April 27 – May 27, 2012 at the California Stage Theater in Midtown Sacramento: Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm Sundays at 2pm
The play: Rob Lautz’s The Meaning of It All will receive its world premiere with this production at California Stage.
The story: Pisa, spring 1514, young Calvino Mezzo Zucco, a struggling Alchemist and Inventor is desperately in love with Alonza Dovono. While trying to find the formula to turn Lead into Gold, he discovers a powerful solvent. He has already let it slip that he may have made some Gold to Alonza’s father, who in turn, brags to a ruling family of the city. The FAMILY sends in one of their henchmen to investigate. The fun begins!
Requirements: A slight Italian accent.

All roles open though some actors have been approached because they helped in development readings. All ages are appproximate.
CALVINO MEZZO ZUCCO: Inventor, Alchemist. Age: 25
SAVIO ZUCCO: Older brother. Academic. Age: 30
ALBERTO ROSSINIO DEMINI: Son of a wealthy Florentine importer. Age 25
LUCCA MARINETTI: Son of a Pisan lock maker. Age 20.
MONA DELAFINO: Daughter of a Pisan wine merchant. Age 18.
ALONZA DOVONO: Daughter of wealthy Pisan shipbuilder Mocklio Dovono. Age: 25
